Ok, so some of you might already know this, but over the past couple of days, I've had to deal with a certain user who "claims" to have revived Mikkatrain from the Trainz community just so he could redistribute the old Sodor Car Flatbed from NWR3D. You might already know this user as he goes under TheJulian101 and he's been taking the piss out of alot of people in the Trainz community for a number of reasons.

It all started when he redistributed the Sodor Car Flatbed on a youtube video of his.

I won't say much other then me and a few other users worked together to force him to take the link down and to not distribute private content again. He has no idea how content creation and sharing works in the Trainz community, especially when it comes to older content.

Weeks go by until one day on Twitter, SkarloeyRheneas tagged me in a tweet showing me this:

Why you shouldn't share private Trainz content. by MH1994
He actually had the balls to share it on a server of his in which he actually targeted me specifically over when I was clearly in the right and he was in the wrong. Needless to say, me and alot of other users came and turned the server into a dumpster fire. I'm not gonna send the link over cause we've done more than enough damage and the server is just full of toxic people. I'll leave it at that.

Oh, but it doesn't end there! Apparently he joined here on DA not long ago and already he started with his bullshit.  He even went the extra mile and plagiarized an entry I did 2 years ago exposing a certain other someone who's been put in his place now.
The Truth about TrainGuy1045Ah yes, TrainGuy1045. What Is up with that user you ask? A number of things actually.
First off, This guy was teasing both me and Bradley Thomas Burden on Discord.
Second off, He keeps banning me from nearly every single one of his Discord Servers for no reason at all.
Third off, He likes to spam ping on me and even calls me names like "Jewlion" and "Jelion".
He even had the balls to Ignore the policy that I wrote In the description of this video: https://youtu.be/z8j95Z2wWXM
and the max spamming was so annoying that I had to block him for nearly a week.
And It wasn't only TrainGuy, but Felix who did the first 3 Things (Minus the 2nd) mentioned above. nearly 2 months ago, they started teasing both me and Bradley Thomas Burden. and then SpoopyLover5 joined In. the 3 worked together to bother Me and Brad to the point where the latter's father confronted Felix after he asked his son If they can go out for dinner. he then pledged to call the cops on Felix while confronting him. all while t

See? It's Plagiarism at it's finest. How lazy could he possibly be with this? It doesn't surprise me too much since he's been redistributing the Car Flatbed without MikkaTrain's permission but the fact that he plagiarized my own work just shows how low he can possibly stoop.

I don't really get into fandom drama since I'm usually on good terms with mostly everyone, but If you really have to target me over things like this, that's where I have to draw the line and show just how much of a bad person people like Julien can be when they have to do stupid crap like this.  I also felt that it was necessary to step into this because as a content creator, I def. want to show respect towards other content creators and what they want to do with their content. With how much I've done in terms of Trainz Modelling, I'll be totally fine if someone doesn't want their car flatbed released to the public anymore. It's different when it comes to someone releasing the content without the original creator's permission though because it's not right and goes against the creator's wishes. I want to stand up for what's right, and given previous events that have happened with sites like UKBL and Si3D, Thomas content for Trainz has been getting insufficient for users who want to have a Thomas experience with Trainz. We're slowing but surely getting back to having alot of content thanks to the fantastic work by Sodor Workshops among several other sites, but still, crap like this is what caused Si3D to shut down back in 2018.

Also, if you're really that determined to release older content, don't even try and claim that you've contacted him from the dead, especially if you really feel the need to use a screenshot of Mufasa from the Lion King as your pathetic excuse.

If you really want to know what the real deal with the Car Flatbed is compared to all the shit Julien's been saying, look no further:

twitter.com/tastyprickles/stat…

Special Mentions go to both Mikkatrain and SkarloeyRheneas for clearing this up for real.

To finish off the journal, I'm not gonna say much other than this:
If you see someone releasing older content that's not supposed to be given out, Speak up and stand up for what's right in the Trainz community, and show those greedy little pests who want to disrespect content creators that they're wrong.  People redistributing older content is what caused Si3D to shut its doors in 2018, and if this keeps going on and on, we might as well shut down every single Trainz site for Thomas content. That means that no one who doesn't have the capabilities of 3D modeling and creating content in Trainz won't be able to have a Thomas experience with Trainz.

Oh, and for a certain someone responsible for starting this whole Car Flatbed BS: This is what happens when you have the balls to share older content, target other users, plagiarizing, coming up with shitty excuses to share the content and several other things that can easily give someone a bad reputation. You might think that I've caused aggravation, but in reality, it's you who's caused aggravation among the Trainz community for this kind of crap. You brought this on yourself so you might as well suck it up cause this is all on you.

You may think that you're "essential", but here's the thing: With what you've done with the car flatbed: You're Not.  In fact, I really wouldn't be surprised if you ended up getting smashed into pieces like a certain other spiteful character who suffered the same fate.

As for everyone else reading: just block this "essential" piece of garbage. He's not worth your time and apparently he has a rule that says no blocking him. He obviously has no clue how Social Media works.

That's all from me in this entry. Adios.

UPDATE (1/19/2020):

It's time for an update, as there seems to be a side to Julien that everyone should be aware of:

Ok, now that Season 23 of Thomas is now finished, it's time to give my quick thoughts.

Short into the point: it was better when it came to the international episodes but felt a bit weak when it came to the Sodor episodes.

Don't get me wrong, the Sodor episodes were great for the most part and were still the best part of the season, but they fell a but short compared to what we got last season.
What makes the international episodes this season better however was that the pacing seems to have gotten better and plus some episodes have a greater focus on other characters like Rajiv, Shane and Lorenzo. I'm not against Thomas having the lead role, and they need to dumb him down in these episodes for the sake of storytelling for the younger audience, but having someone else in the spotlight is always a nice change.

We only got a couple of duds this season, but they're nothing I'd lose sleep over since I have better episodes to rely on, and as long as kids enjoy what they see with this, I think it's Perfectly fine. These are nowhere near as atrocious as Seasons 13-16 in terms of writing and the international episodes are harmless in comparison. You just need to go into them with a different mindset, especially with the target audience in mind

It is disappointing how they handled Edward and Henry though, especially since  Edward had some really good roles last season. I'm a big fan of Henry and it's really upsetting that he hasn't had any big roles so far.

I will go into Season 24 with an open mind next year as I did with this season since Thomas is one thing I'll always approach with the older fans and the target audience in mind, especially the latter in this case.

Top 5 Episodes of the Season:
1. Heart of Gold
2. Deep Trouble
3. Free the Roads
4. Diesel do Right
5. Out of Site

Special mentions:
Mines of Mystery
Diesel Glows Away
Chucklesome Trucks
Wish You Were Here
Laid Back Shane

If you're wondering why I haven't been posting much on DA, here's why:

Don't worry, it's not because I've been getting into personal beef with other users like you know who (Check one of my previous journals for that one if you missed out)

it's just that I don't exactly have much use for DA nowadays aside from following other users on the site.
Most of my Trainz work nowadays goes on Twitter, which you'll find here:
twitter.com/MH1994_

I've also been pretty active with the Trainz community nowadays since several users have been using buildings that I've modeled in their videos.  The users I've been giving my models too def. know how to make great Trainz Thomas videos and you can check some of them with my buildings in the link below:
www.youtube.com/playlist?list=…

I've also told my RL friends my interest in Thomas, and surprisingly, they've taken it extremely well:
twitter.com/MH1994_/status/110…

I thought I was gonna make ALOT of enemies with it, but it's been two months since I've let my secret out, and I don't see a crowd of people with fire and pitchforks outside. :P

TLDR: I mainly use Twitter nowadays, I've been helping with some Trainz videos, and I told everyone my interest in Thomas.

I'm still gonna be around on Deviantart. I'm just gonna follow users for the most part. Maybe I'll post 1 or 2 screenshots from time to time, but other then that, most of the trainz stuff goes on my twitter account nowadays.

So now that Season 22's done and over with, let's review everything.

When this season was first revealed last year, fans felt pretty divisive over some of the changes they were making with the series (New Steam Team, Thomas the narrator and the fantasy sequences).
Me? I was going to approach this season with low expectations and I usually approach Thomas with both the younger and older fans in mind, and plus I knew that the writing team was going to stay the same and I knew they would do whatever they could to please the fans despite the changes from Mattel.

Also, they weren't kidding about the new theme song being really catchy. I think it's better than the roll call remix they did for Seasons 19-21

Anyway, I approached Season 22 with low expectations and with both the younger and older fans in mind, and I wasn't disappointed.  Everything for me went better than expected and there really wasn't much for me to complain about. The only real issue I had with the season was the overall pacing. For the most part it was fine, but when it came to only a few episodes, the pacing led to endings that ended up feeling rushed.  I was also a little worried about the fantasy sequences, but some of them were actually really enjoyable while there were only a few I didn't really care for that much.

Just to get this out first, I especially went in for low expectations when It came to the International episodes. I knew they would have to dumb down Thomas a bit for some of these episodes and have him learning about different countries and cultures. The international episodes weren't exactly bad in the broadest sense, to me, they're just there. Most of them were fine, but there were only a few episodes I really did enjoy which I'll get into later. A few things I will say though is that the best international episodes were definitely the ones in Australia, and plus I like how they gave characters like Yong Bao, Rajiv and Shane actual character to them compared to their first appearances in The Great Race. I would say the same for Ashima, but while it was nice to see her again, she was just there. She really didn't do much compared to the other returning International engines. Some of the new characters like Hong Mei, Shankar and Isla were pretty good too, and I also liked how the Railway on India had a female controller. While it was obvious in some parts where they redressed some Sodor locations for the international places, the sets for the most part looked pretty good.

Like most of the fans, The Sodor half was easily the best part of the entire season. I knew we were really gonna get some good stuff with this half of the season. Some of the global goals this season like gender equality, recycling and education were handled really well with the new episodes. It was great to see Merlin return and what made his return great was the fact that Hugh Bonneville actually reprised his role from Journey Beyond Sodor. It was also good to see Rosie making more appearances and I liked the variety of characters they used despite the fact that we only got 13 episodes on Sodor. Also throwing in a special mention for Michael White for joining the writing team with An Engine of Many Colors and Hunt the Truck. It's nice to see a longtime Thomas fan actually working on the show.

I was a little worried with Edward and Henry leaving the Steam Team and still making appearances though, but Edward played some really good roles here, especially in Hunt the Truck.  I am disappointed that Henry didn't really do much this season, but it's good to know that him and Edward  are still gonna stick around despite these changes, speaking of which...

The new Steam Team is alright at best. Nia's a good character and I definitely think she's a welcome addition to the series, but I'm honestly still on the fence about her on the Steam Team. It's not that I'm against the concept since shows like Thomas need a main cast like the Steam Team for the younger audience, but I think they could have done a better job at restructuring the main cast, but that's a discussion for another day.
Rebecca on the other hand is a character I absolutely adore. When she was first revealed, I was really looking forward to her inclusion in the series since her basis is a SR West Country Class, an engine I've always wanted to see in the series. I'm used to her livery since I think she looks good in it and plus it makes her stand out and more recognizable to the audience. I don't think she would look that good in a realistic livery.

Overall, this season was much better than expected. I thought It was better than Season 21 cause with me this season actually feels complete in comparison, and that was my only real issue with Season 21 and it being cut short for this. While the International episodes were alright at best, the Sodor episodes were easily the best thing about the new season, and while I did really enjoy the Sodor episodes, there were some format changes I'm not very fond of though, and If I were to make some changes to the new format the show has going for right now, here's what I'd change:

1. Drop Thomas introducing and recaping the episode at the end, but save them for life lessons on something like Youtube.
2. Make episodes run a little longer with more time to develop the story lines and not have endings that end up feeling rushed.
3. Have 2 intros made specifically for episodes. Have one for the international episodes and one for the Sodor episodes, that way the intro doesn't come off as misleading to the audience.
4. Either revamp the Roll Call as a new song or drop it entirely. The new version they've done for the season just comes off as lazy to me.

Other then that, Season 22 was a pretty good season if we're talking about just the Sodor episodes. Even if the International episodes were a step down from the Sodor episodes and some of the changes they're making to the series. that isn't really gonna stop me from watching the show or being a fan of the series. Hell, if the Series ends up getting canned all because of all the crap going on over at Mattel, I know that I can always rely on older seasons and some of the great stuff made by Thomas fans online for a great time. As far as ranking the season goes, I'd place it above Seasons 19 and 21 but below Seasons 17,18 and 20.  I don't know what to expect with Season 23 though. We know that they're going to continue the international episodes in different countries and plus they have confirmed that the season will have 20 episodes and 3 double length episodes. How they'll handle we'll have to wait and see. With that said, I'll be finishing this off with my Top 10 episodes from this season. Thanks for reading!

Top 10 Season 22 episodes:
1. An Engine of Many Colors
2. Hunt the Truck
3. Confusion without Delay
4. Rosie is Red
5. Samson and the Fireworks
6. Seeing is Believing

8. Tiger Trouble
9. Thomas & the Dragon
10. What Rebecca Does.

For the record, I'm not against the idea of Thomas traveling around the world, but the execution from what I've seen in the clips so far with the fantasy sequences is just bizarre to say the least. There are some moments I liked, like the scenes with the Chinese dragon, the clips with Thomas and Nia in the parade and San Francisco (Whatever happened to predictability?) and to be totally honest, I like the new theme, but I just wish we went back to the last opening we had from the last few seasons.

The one thing I'm looking forward to the most with this season though is the 2nd half of it along with Rebecca. It's probably just me, but I'm probably the only one who actually remembers that the 2nd half will take place back on Sodor, cause everyone is so distracted with the dream sequences and Thomas traveling the world, and I think Rebecca has some potential and I'm glad than an engine of her basis is actually appearing on the show, and she's the one newbie I'm really looking forward too. I've nothing against Nia at the time I'm writing this, but I'm just gonna wait for BWBA to come out so I can actually make some impressions on her, cause the Merchandise and marketing descriptions don't have me interested.

I wanna give the new season and special a chance, I really do. At one hand I'm glad that they still have the same writing team, but I'm completely torn up by the fact that Mattel is interfering with the production of this with the dream sequences and changing up the format, and it's just not the same now that the main cast is different. I'm not against them adding in female characters as long as they have some actual character and character development to them, but if you're gonna add them in just for the sake of making the main cast gender equal, then no, I'm not ok with that. It's really not gonna be the same with Edward and Henry no longer part of the main cast. I'm glad they're not completely leaving the show, but it's just not gonna be the same not seeing them as part of the main cast and that just tears me up inside.

I'm still going with the mindset that this whole thing with Thomas traveling around the world will be a one time thing, because after all, they change up the themes for each special and year. (Medieval Times, Dinosaurs, Pirates, The Olympics, going on a journey(?), Traveling around the world, etc) but I don't know what to expect once this new season and special come out in August and then we'll be wondering what's next for Thomas. I'm still going to watch the season and possibly end up purchasing the special when its released digitally, cause i wanna show support for the people who work on the show. Even if it does end up screwing over the series (Almost like Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric) I'm still going to be a fan of Thomas, cause I know I can always rely on Seasons 1-8, Seasons 17-21, the Specials and some of the great stuff done by the community.

At this point I just want the new season and special to come out already, cause I don't think I've ever seen the fanbase so divisive over something like this.
